Review: Centrally located with easy access to Shrewsbury's offerings, this hotel struck a balance with its welcoming staff and spacious dining area. The freshly cooked breakfast was a good highlight, and having the flexibility of parking nearby and dog-friendly accommodations made for a pleasant experience. the room was a bit chilly, and noise from the street occasionally disrupted the quiet vibe. , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-09-10}

Delightful property, fairly clean, with fantastic staff and food. Affable staff, free wake up service and ironing. Stunning location, within easy walking distance of Church of All Saints. Found in the pretty nice area.

Breakfast cooked perfectly, especially the poached egg, and for the first time I can remember, when I asked for ONE egg, ONE bacon, ONE sausage, that's what I received (usually get more than I asked, wasteful).
Slightly noisy but expected for such a convenient and central location. Parking tight but they've organised it well.

I was really bummed about the basement room-super steep stairs that made it awkward to bring our stuff down. Plus, being right under the lobby meant I heard every footstep and conversation above. It made it tough to relax!

Ideal for a short break in Shrewsbury, location in the centre but also with car parking, which a lot of hotels in Shrewsbury town centre don't have

What a lovely stay! Tucked away near the river, this place is perfect for dog owners. The staff are friendly, and breakfast was delicious, especially the full English! The only downside was the steep stairs to our basement room, but the charm and cleanliness made up for it.

Friendly staff, excellent location, pleasant accomodation, tasty breakfast. Very central to the wedding we were attending-both the church & the night venue.

A very warm family welcome and a friendly atmosphere. Parking on site. Excellent breakfast. Quiet, yet very close to the town centre and all main sights, and quick access to the pathway along the very picturesque river bank. Shrewsbury is certainly well worth a visit, and we could have done with at least two more days.
Our room on the top floor was rather small, and there is no lift so we had to carry our heavy luggage (we had been on the road for a long time and needed to re-pack before taking a plane home) up two steep flights -- although to be fair the proprietor did offer to help.

The room, while a bit small, was bright and clean, filled with all necessary amenities. Despite feeling a bit cramped for my family of four with two cases, it was adequate for our needs. A folding door would have been ideal to maximize space.
This was a minor inconvenience, but it didn't significantly detract from my overall experience.

The location is fantastic; we didn't need to use our car as everything was within walking distance, including parks and charming landmarks like Abbey Gardens and St Chad's Church. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was a real highlight—perfectly cooked poached eggs every morning! The cheerful staff made our experience even better, offering insightful recommendations for family-friendly activities. While some late-night noise from other guests was noticeable, it didn’t detract from our overall enjoyment. We loved the sun terrace and garden area for relaxation, making it a wonderful stay for bonding as a family. We look forward to returning!
